Recent shopping trips

I just realized I haven't written lately about what I've been buying. I don't have any pictures, but here are some examples.

Yester day I went to Smith's.

Finish-Electrasol Gelpacs
Fresh values price $2.99 (a savings of $3.20)
Used: Finish-Electrasol Quantum, Powerball Tabs or Gelpacs, any $2.50/1 (5-17-09) SS-4/19
Final price: $0.49 a box

So, I got 5 box of Electrasol for $3.47, a savings of $28.50. That's 92%!

I also stopped by Albertsons.

Hunts Ketchup Perefered savings price $1.00 ($0.99 savings)

Wesson cooking oil Prefered savings price $2.50 ($2.79 savings)

Albertson's sale 3/4/09 Round one and how I did it

Because food storage isn't just about food, I was excited about albertson's sale this week.

I got:

Retail all of this is $355.79

I paid $187.39

and saved $168.40

First I went to pinchingyourpennies.com and got the Albertson's list.

Second I decided what I wanted and made a list

Fourth made second list for separate transactions.

To get the most out of this sale the best thing to do is separate your transactions and roll over your catalinas.

Then I went shopping =)

When shopping it's not really nice to all of the other shoppers and checker to do a lot of transactions back to back so I usually only do two or three depending on how busy the store is. (Today, however, I did 9 because it was dead and my step aunt was the checker =)
Doing two or three transactions and then getting back in line or going back to the store later is usually the best approach.

That's my shopping process. I hope this helps you on your way to learning the coupon system.
