Cut out my coupons(see below for organizing ideas) . . .

And went shopping!

Retail that is $164.59. I spent 68.58. That's a saving of $96.01. (I love saving more than I spent!!!)

OK, so by now you should have all done your homework right?!? And you have a source of coupons. Now, what to do with them all. There are several methods. The tick is finding one that works best for you. So back to our outline

#3. Getting Organized. . . choose what works best for you!

a. Binder Method (zip binder, baseball card holders or photo sheets)
b. Coupon Caddie or Coupon Box (box with dividers and categories)
c. Envelopes (with different categories
d. Filing Cabinet or Filing Box (with dates on top)
e. Flexible File (with categories or dates)
Be organized Before you go to the store!

a. Binder Method (zip binder, baseball card holders or photo sheets)
This is the one my 'teacher' prefers and some day, if I can get organized enough, I might switch to this method. She has a zipper binder full of baseball card holders. Each card holder is the perfect size for most coupons. Then card holders are separated into categories.
(If you would like an example list of categories let me know)

b. Coupon Caddie or Coupon Box (box with dividers and categories)
This is a popular method with couponers. You can actually buy special caddies that already have categorized dividers.

c. Envelopes (with different categories)I've never actually seen this one, but I'm assuming it would be similar to the previous two.

(These first three are great for those who like to take all of their coupons with them to the store for hidden deals. Requires cutting coupons)

d. Filing Cabinet or Filing Box (with dates on top)
This is the method I use. I love it because you only have to cut the coupons you need when you need them.
For great how to videos using this method, click here.

e. Flexible File (with categories or dates)
Another one I've never seen, but it seems pretty self explanatory.

I hope this answers a few more of your questions. If you have more PLEASE feel free to ask! Also check out more of Shauntell's system at http://theobsessiveshopper.net/ part of the http://funwithfoodstorage.net/ network.

Happy shopping!
